Pilates focus is on lengthening and strengthening your muscles while building stamina and strength. As you practice regularly our Pilates Reformer you notice improved mobility, core strength as well as balance and overall body awareness.

With an increased spatial awareness and a strong core built in the last couple of months you will take the word challenge to a new level – you will Climb a Tree!

This exercise will require both strength and flexibility. It is an extremely powerful Pilates Reformer or Mat exercise. ‘Climbing a Tree’ requires equal control in flexion and extension of the spine as well as abdominal strength and coordination of the limbs. It does highlight the true meaning of Joseph Pilates statement, “You are as young as your spinal column”.

During ‘Climb a Tree’ exercise you will lean back and there is an element of fear in leaning backwards for most of us. Like always, listen to your body, there will be lots of options…

However, you have conquered that fear as you practiced Around the World and Cast a Spell in last August. The best thing though is that as you prepare and practiced this exercise is your body will feel lengthened and strengthened! You feel gooood!

We love this exercise not only for the way it makes you fell. The Tree of Life represents Club Rhythm’s philosophy. Trees are a symbol of a fresh start positive energy, good health and a bright future. As a symbol of immortality, a tree grows old, yet it bears seeds that contain its very essence and in this way, the tree becomes immortal.

Have fun and enjoy the movement of your body Climbing a Tree and as a tree, grow strong and confident!

See you soon in the club and until then…
